WebAlarm - Browser based remote access to SCADA Masters
WebAlarm has a new lease of life with the latest smartphones. Users have instant access to their SCADA system Alarm List and individual sites, displaying statuses and measurements of all I/O, including any derived I/O from the site or PLCs connected at the site. WebAlarm doesn't require an App on your cellphone; it just uses your regular phone browser. It's fast to load and access to it is controlled out of a customer's SCADA Master. We've recently made changes to WebAlarm, bringing it in-house rather than having it hosted by an outside ISP. WebAlarm requires a new Powerlink software module loaded onto a customer's SCADA Master and internet access to our Abbey Secure Hub. Examples below show smartphone browser screens from Porirua City Council's WebAlarm implementation. Of course these screens can also be accessed from desktop PCs, making WebAlarm a very useful operational tool.
